Owner Building Solutions Australia Pty Ltd is a Registered Training Organisation dedicated to producing and providing quality education and support systems for the Owner Builder throughout Australia and New Zealand.

With over 25 years experience working directly with owner builders, we understand how to develop and deliver processes and educational courseware that truly allows owner builders to successfully manage, administer and control their domestic construction project.

As a Registered Training organisation, Owner Building Solutions Australia operates under the guidelines and provisions of the Australian National Training Framework (AQTF) and is bound by the 12 standards which regulate professional training activities in Australia.

Under our Scope of registration, we are able to deliver, assess and award Certificate I, II and III level competencies including the following vocational qualifications.

•    Certificate II in General Construction

•    Course in Owner Building  30702-QLD

•    Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card) CPCCOHS1001A

•    Certificate II in Transport and Distribution (Warehousing)

•    Certificate III in Transport and Distribution (Aviation Flight Operations)

Whilst courseware development and delivery support focusing on Owner Builder activity is our core business, the success of our learning systems has resulted in several major organisations employing our services to design and deliver courseware across a range of industry, administrative and vocational areas.

Key Personnel

Brian Heaton - Chief Executive Officer

His experience of over fifty years in the building industry provides our students an invaluable resource and wealth of knowledge upon which to draw when coordinating and managing the day to day issues that arise in any domestic construction project. Brian remains involved in the development and delivery of all construction and building related courseware offered. Brian is a ”hands on” CEO, still actively involved in classroom teaching, specialising in the Owner Builder classes. Owner Building Solutions. He brings with him a 17 year experience as a classroom teacher in plumbing and building disciplines in the New South Wales TAFE system.

Through Brian, Owner Building Solutions Australia were involved in the development and production of the Nationally Accredited Course for Owner Builders which is mandatory study for Queensland Owner Builders whose work value exceeds $11,000.00.

Much of the content of this course is derived directly from Owner Building Solutions Australia courseware, a reflection of the respect that both Brian and the company enjoy within the industry and from the regulator.

A Licensed Plumber, Drainer, Gasfitter and Builder, Brian has been involved in the construction and supervision of a wide ranging variety of projects including commercial, residential and industrial works.

This knowledge has been used effectively to guide our clients through their education and projects, with the result being a gratifying experience which has saved the Owner Builder thousands of dollars in construction costs.

Brian is an active Rotarian at international level, another indicator of his commitment to community and people and his genuine work ethic and organisational abilities.
